Lewis University continues to gain national recognition for academic excellence, as five of its online master’s degree programs have been ranked among the Best Online Graduate Programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News & World Report is a widely respected media company known for its in-depth rankings and analysis across various sectors, including education, healthcare, finance, and travel. Established in 1933, it has become a go-to resource for evaluating colleges, universities, hospitals, and financial institutions.
The publication’s college and university rankings are among the most recognized in the U.S., assessing institutions based on factors such as academic reputation, graduation rates, faculty credentials and student support services. It also ranks online degree programs, considering elements like student engagement, faculty training, and technology.
Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates more than 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, assessing factors such as faculty credentials, student services, technology, and student engagement.
The programs mentioned with this honor were Master of Criminal Justice which obtained 37th place; Master of Nursing, moving up the ranks to 77th place; Master’s in Information Technology ranked in the top 70-92, Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) took 183rd, and Master’s in Business Programs (Excluding MBA) took 114th.
However, the one that stood out the most within the rankings was the Business Analytics Program, according to Intelligent.com.
Lewis University earned this place among 2,000 other nonprofit and accredited institutions that were also evaluated by the site. Some of the main factors taken into account were academic quality, graduation rates, cost and return on investment, and the availability of student resources.

The program is designed to be flexible and accessible for those taking it, offering courses in both online and on-campus formats. This promotes it more, due to the fact that those taking it are individuals who are already part of the working force.
