The Flyer is the official student publication that is owned and funded by Lewis University, a private Lasallian and Roman Catholic university with an enrollment of around 6,500 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
The mission of The Flyer is to report news and to provide a forum for the discussion of issues pertinent to the university community through print and multimedia mediums in a manner consistent with the mission of the university as a Lasallian and Roman Catholic institution of higher education and the accepted norms of American journalism as established by the Associated Press.
In general, it endeavors to objectively report the news of the university; provide a medium through which students, faculty and administration can express ideas, concerns and accolades; and serve as a means by which students practice journalistic, graphic design, general composition, communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
