Though on-again, off-again couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are certainly enjoying each other’s company in Malibu, they have no plans to wed anytime soon.

In an interview with “The Sun on Sunday,” Cyrus gave an update on her wedding plans: there are none for now.

“I don’t envision marriage,” said Cyrus. “I’m 24. I hope to get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married].”

Cyrus, who didn’t publicly confirm that she was re-engaged to Hemsworth until October 2016, said they’re just enjoying each other’s company and seeing how things go.

“Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned,” said Cyrus. “I’m just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”

Cyrus opened up about why it was beneficial for the couple to be apart for so long, while also revealing they kept in touch during the break up.

“I didn’t know we’d get back together. I’m so crazy, I have no idea. But I had something in my heart, it never felt like it was really over. We kept a great friendship really private,” said Cyrus. “It’s good for people to have that space to grow individually. Otherwise when you’re with someone from 16 until 24, you grow into the same person.”

Cyrus’ wedding update echoes the words of her mother Tish, who shot down rumors that the couple had eloped in June. “She is not getting married. They are so freaking happy and living in Malibu,” Tish told Mario Lopez on his radio show. “She’s so happy and she’s always like, ‘I don’t know why everybody wants us to get married. It’s so perfect.’”

The skies are blue and the future is bright for Cyrus and Hemsworth’s lives in Malibu.
