Letter to the Editor:

Library

Dear Editor,

The Library has been instituting some new programs and updating others in order to provide up-to-date, creative and hands-on services that meet the needs of students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Some of the programs and services we offer include discipline-specific instruction and research help through our Library Liaison program, in which nine librarians are each assigned to an academic department. Students and faculty can therefore contact their assigned librarian and get help specific to their area of study. There have been added stress relief activities during Super Study such as games, puzzles and coloring that can be used to help de-stress during finals. Our bi-weekly Tippi Tuesdays program brings dog-therapy directly to students on a frequent basis. Students also have the option to communicate with a librarian through online chat, text or on-the-phone. These are just a few of the programs and services the Library offers.

I urge your readers to learn who their librarian is, take advantage of the different services available and visit the Library not only for last-minute assistance but for complete project support and life-long learning. For more information, visit the Library website at http://www.lewisu.edu/academics/library/index.htm.

Sincerely,

Thomas Urbanski
