Lewis University celebrated its first “I Love Lewis Day” April 20, which included a block party that all students could attend.

Attendees were able to participate in many different activities offered at the block party, and receive a free “I Love Lewis” t-shirt, before settling in for a movie shown on the green at the end of the night.

Attendees could ride a mechanical bull, climb an inflatable rock-climbing wall, make tie-dye shirts and shoot hoops with an inflated basketball hoop.

Free food was offered at the event, which included selections from hamburgers to cheese fries to samples provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. All of the activities ended at 7 p.m. so that the university green could be cleared for a screening of the film “Split” at 8 p.m.

Students were very enthusiastic about the event, enjoying the chance to have some fun and relax before the upcoming end of the semester.
