Thanks to everyone who followed along! Alyssa and I are very grateful!
I’d say now I need to watch these movies I’ve been talking about all night. Thanks to everyone who put up with us tonight!
I got some predictions right (“Argo” and Daniel Day-Lewis). Some? Ehhh, let’s not talk about those.
Plenty of fun this time around. Overall, I thought it was a good show. Lots of surprises and great performances!
Ben Affleck seems like such a genuine guy. I think his speech has been my favorite.
I guess Argo could have been mentioned in our poll. Sorry, guys.
Still can’t believe Affleck wasn’t nominated for Best Director!
Ben Affleck has gotten the last word. “Argo” wins.
Best Picture goes to “Argo!”
Well this is random. Hey Michelle.
What? Michelle Obama?
Best Picture. This will be a fun one. I’m going with….”Argo.”
I wish I could make a prediction for what will win Best Picture, but I honestly have no idea. May the odds be ever in your favor, nominees.
This guy is incredible. Best Actor three times? That’s insane!
Daniel Day-Lewis. Not shocked at all.
Best Actor to Daniel-Day Lewis!
Daniel-Day Lewis for “Lincoln?” That’s what I’m going to go with.
She was adorable. So was the smile on Bradley Cooper’s face.
No. Way. Jennifer Lawrence. I’m speechless.
Best Actress goes to Jennifer Lawrence!
Maybe Chastain?
Lawrence or Riva. Who’s it going to be?
Best Actress. Here we go.
I know how badly everyone wants J-Law to win Best Actress, but I kind of want to see what kind of acceptance speech Quvenzhane Wallis would give. She’s just too cute!
If it wasn’t going to be Spielberg, it had to be Lee.
I still feel like Affleck got snubbed. And all these “Life of Pi” wins are making me particularly nervous that it’s going to pull Best Picture.
Best Director really goes to Ang Lee for “Life of Pi.”
Best Director goes to….Ben Affleck! Oh wait.
It’s 10:30, and we still aren’t finished. Typical Oscars!
Tarantino just ended his speech with a “peace out.” Complete with a peace sign and all.
Tarantino is so charmingly weird. Love it.
Best Original Screenplay goes to Quentin Tarantino for “Django Unchained.”
Oops, I forgot one. Adapted Screenplay goes to Chris Terrio for “Argo.”
Oscar goes to “Argo.”
Adapted Screenplay? I’m going with “Lincoln.”
According to our trusty poll (which only has four of the nine movies listed), “Zero Dark Thirty” should win tonight.
Don’t forget Screenplays, Alyssa!
10 minutes left! This is when things start to get good.
In case you didn’t catch that, “Skyfall” won best original song. If I’m correct, the only categories left are Best Director, Actor, Actress and Picture. I don’t even want to make any predictions because I’ll probably fail.
I kind of feel bad for Norah Jones. She just got up there and sang only to here Adele beat her.
Best Original Song: OK, now I really think I should put my money on “Skyfall.” Although big surprise…I’d like to see “Suddenly” from “Les Misérables” win.
…Awkward. Good thing I don’t have any money to actually put on anything. Mychael Danna and “Life of Pi” won.
Best Original Score: I’m putting my money on “Skyfall.”
Barbara Streisand is keeping up with the sparkly dress theme that’s going on tonight. She looks classy.
This may sound morbid, but I enjoy the “In Memoriam” segment. Always beautiful.
Production Design goes to “Lincoln.”
Why does she always sound like she hates the world?
It was.
Daniel Radcliffe and Kristen Stewart? Why do I feel like this is going to be awkward.
As an avid Harry Potter fan, I can’t stand that Kristen Stewart is standing next to Daniel Radcliffe right now.
The fact that Nicole Kidman is 45 is disgusting.
Fun Fact: Adele recorded the vocals for “Skyfall” in about 10 minutes.
I’m kind of jealous of Adele’s baby. I bet she belts out a great rendition of “Rock-a-Bye-Baby.”
LET THE SKYFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL
J-Law looks gorgeous, but seemed a bit unenthusiastic with that introduction.
Fun Fact: I have a little bit of a huge crush on J-Law. And now, here’s Adele, who will, without a doubt, kill it,
Film Editing. This had to be another tough one. The Oscar goes to “Argo.”
Why didn’t I know about this contest? I could totally be on stage handing out awards right now.
WAIT…Anne Hathaway’s Oscar WASN’T for her performance as Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises”?!
Adele is performing “Skyfall” next. I used to not be a big fan of Adele, but I’m beginning to join the bandwagon.
Tony and I should obviously be a part of the Academy. We’ve got this whole prediction thing down pretty well.
Jaws theme in 3…2…
The Oscar goes to…Anne Hathaway for “Les Miz.” Well deserved. This girl is America’s sweetheart.
If Anne Hathaway doesn’t win this award, I quit.
Side note: Christopher Plummer is too charming.
Best Supporting Actress. Here we go. I’m calling Hathaway.
This “Sound of Music” reference is the second best thing to happen all night.
“No BS. We have a tie.” Nice job, Mark Wahlberg.
How many more categories until Best Actor/Actress and Best Picture? Really, though…
“Zero Dark Thirty” gets the first Oscar for Sound Editing. The second Oscar for Sound Editing goes to “Skyfall.” This is ridiculous. In a good way, but I wouldn’t have expected something like this.
How the heck is there even a tie? Is this allowed?
Sound Editing is…a tie? Is this real?
Finally, I get one right. “Les Miserables” wins Sound Mixing Oscar.
Sound Mixing? I’m going to guess “Les Miz.”
Ted from “Ted” is here. Yes.
I’m also thrilled that Anne Hathaway changed her dress. I was having major issues with her other one.
That was breathtaking. Granted, I loved the movie so I’m probably biased, but I don’t even care.
Anyone else think the entire “Les Miserables” cast should do another musical-turned-film for “Cats?”
“Les Miserables” time.
Jennifer Hudson, man. “American Idol” found something great here.
OK Catherine Zeta-Jones. I’m glad you can lip sync. Now let Jennifer Hudson show you how it’s done.
I am absolutely buzzing waiting for the “Les Misérables” to come out!
This is what I have been waiting for all night! Don’t be alarmed if I’m MIA for a few moments…
Maybe all the predictions will be wrong and “Amour” WILL win Best Picture. It seems that the unknown movies always come out of the walls to win awards at these shows anyway.
“Amour” on the board with the Foreign Language Film Oscar. Now, can it win Best Picture?
Fun Fact: The Huffington Post has Daniel Day-Lewis’ at a whopping 99.6% chance at winning Best Actor for his role as the 16th President of the United States in “Lincoln.”
Ben Affleck introduces Best Documentary. The winner? “Searching for Sugar Man.”
Make sure to vote in our handy poll above! I still have a feeling “Argo” will win, but since it’s not there, choose the second best.
Liam Neeson makes everything cool.
I’m still deciding who’s going to win Best Harlem Shake Video.
Documentary Short: Inocente.
Live Action Short Film: Curfew.
Not to mention she’s 76 and still sounds pretty dang good!
Shirley Bassey takes the stage to sing the “Goldfinger” theme song. She looks mighty classy, if you ask me.
50 Years of Bond. This should be fun.
Halle Berry looks like she’s straight out of “The Hunger Games.”
“Les Miserables” gets Makeup and Hair-styling. Yes, that IS a category.
Are those pink tights? I guess I missed the memo that I was watching a ’90s workout video.
You know the show has gotten to the “boring categories” when the presenters stay up there to announce more than one winner.
Costume Design Oscar goes to “Anna Karenina.” Basically, yet ANOTHER 1800′s Kiera Knightley film.
Jennifer Aniston and Channing Tatum? I’m listening.
And he gets played of with classic Hollywood music. Well done, ABC. I particularly liked Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s facial expressions.
Best Animal in a Supporting Role should go to Richard Parker from “Life of Pi.”
Can we just talk for a hot second about how handsome all “The Avengers” guys looked on stage?
Visual Effects also goes to “Life of Pi.” Once again, definitely deserved it.
“Life of Pi” is about a guy who is stranded for days at sea on a boat. Looks like this guy accepting the award did the same.
“Life of Pi” for cinematography.
….maybe?
Hey Tony….be honest. Did you have to Google how to spell her name? I surely did.
Could Quvenzhane Wallis be any cuter? Nope. No she could not.
I have chills watching this clip from “Les Misérables.” I know it probably has no chance of winning best picture, but I still can’t get over how incredible it is!
Another Oscar for Disney. Like anyone was surprised.
Must agree with Tony here; “Paperman” is fantastic! Disney never can do wrong.
As much as I didn’t care about this category, I DID see “Paperman.” It was great.
Serious question: does Jack Nicholson go anywhere without sunglasses on?
Waltz won a Golden Globe for this category, so I can’t say I’m too surprised here.
And the Oscar goes to…Christoph Waltz! Well, I’m 0-1 right now.
Philip Seymour Hoffman is incredible too. And De Niro. And Arkin. This had to be a tough choice for the Academy.
Supporting Actor time. Let’s do this. I’m saying Tommy Lee Jones. Although Christoph Waltz is amazing, I have to go with Jones.
I am absolutely loving the incorporation of music thus far tonight. And come on….who DOESN’T love “Beauty and the Beast?”
JGL for the win.
Fact: Everything is better if Channing Tatum is involved.
A song about breasts. NOW this is a MacFarlane show.
Captain Kirk, aka William Shatner, making an appearance? Well, okay.
Seth MacFarlane…I think I like you.
Tommy Lee Jones laughs. Point for MacFarlane.
And here…we…go.
I’m interested/excited for Seth MacFarlane as host. It’s something different and fresh.
Could be a hit or miss, though.
Queen Latifah. You are marvelous.
How crazy is it going to be if “Argo” wins Best Picture since Ben Affleck was snubbed in the Best Director category?
The Huffington Post is currently reporting “Argo” has a 92.6% chance of winning Best Picture. I have to agree. It’s going to be between “Argo” and “Lincoln,” for sure.
Kelly Rowland is totally pulling the “Angela Jolie one leg out” trend this evening. I was hoping we had seen the last of that…
Here’s to hoping Anne Hathaway changes before her big performance tonight! (Don’t worry Anne- I still love you.)
ABC…you may want to get that echo figured out. I sense some technical problems! Sandra Bullock looks fab, by the way.
Oscars, “The Walking Dead,” AND the Blackhawks game? I’m going to be a busy man.
Daniel Day-Lewis could be wearing shorts and a tank-top, and he’d still be the coolest looking person there. Love that guy.
I just changed to ABC so I can follow along with Tony. I see Daniel Radcliffe again…loving it.
Harry Potter…er, Daniel Radcliffe makes an appearance.
Okay, Alyssa. I made it. Sorry I’m late. I got a flat tire this weekend, so I was driving pretty carefully back to school.
SPEAKING of pretty, Chris Evans is looking fiiiiine. Plus, he brought his mom. What a nice guy.
I think Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are my favorite Hollywood couple. And they look dashing tonight, I must say.
So many people slam Adele, but I think she looks great! Truly demonstrates that you don’t have to be a size 2 to dress for the Oscars.
Nicole Kidman looks stunning. I’m not usually a fan of the metallic/glittery dresses, but she pulls it off.
Jennifer Aniston has the best color on tonight; I love the coral/red mix. I do agree with the critics, though, that she could have done more.
I didn’t comment on Charlize Theron a few minutes ago because I was so wrapped up in Anne, but that dress + her haircut could possibly be my favorite combination of the night.
Only an hour until show time!
How ironic is it that Anne Hathaway is wearing Prada after she starred in “The Devil Wears Prada” back in 2006?
So far, I don’t think there’s been a dress that has made me stop and do a double take. Was hoping it would be from J Law or Anne, but they didn’t really do it for me.
One Direction’s Harry Styles tweets that Jennifer Lawrence “needs to win an Oscar tonight.”
Do you think she can beat out Jessica Chastain and the other leading ladies up for Best Actress?
Really though…I’d love Anne Hathaway even if she was wearing a potato sack. I think we all would have appreciated some undergarments with that dress, however.
And there she is….I have to say, I am not feeling Anne Hathaway’s dress. At all.
I haven’t seen any horrible fashion disasters yet. We have about an hour and 15 minutes left…who will the culprit be this year?
Jennifer Hudson’s dress slightly reminds me of a mermaid, but I love it at the same time.
Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the arrival of Anne Hathaway?
Joseph Gorden-Levitt just revealed that he and Daniel Radcliffe will be joining Seth on stage tonight. I wonder if he’ll be pulling any of his moves from “Magic Mike?”
Catherine Zeta-Jones looks like a giant bottle of gold sparkle nail polish. She’ll be singing alongside Jennifer Hudson and the “Les Misérables” cast.
Loving this tweet from Dean Richards of WGN.
“Jennifer Lawrence looks great. I wish she didn’t always seem so confused.”
Can’t say I disagree!

I’m defining Seacrest’s new hair as a mix between Zayn Malik (One Direction) and Bruno Mars.
I guess I never realized how short Ryan Seacrest is…Jennifer literally TOWERS over him. Even with his heightened hairdo.
Jennifer Lawrence’s dress looks like a giant cloud. It also somewhat resembles my grandmother’s bedspread, but either way she looks beautiful.
Amanda Seyfried (Les Misérables) won’t divulge any secrets about the cast’s performance tonight. I personally am predicting it to be the best part of the show.
Did I hear that Jennifer Lawrence just showed up? I am absolutely itching to see what she’s wearing. Think she’ll show up in a gown that’s in flames like Katniss did?
Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) just announced she’s wearing 2 million dollars worth of diamonds – INSANE.
And here’s Harry Potter himself! Daniel Radcliffe looking fabulous as usual.
I spy Amanda Seyfried! I take back what I said earlier; she looks stunning.
Do I hear that Daniel Radcliffe is on the carpet? Where are all my Harry Potter lovers at?
Reese Witherspoon looks beautiful in a blue and black Louis Vuitton. Another one who is looking great after recently having a baby!
“I liked it because it was sparkly and fluffy,” -Quvenzhané Wallis on her choice of outfit this evening.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan look lovely! Do I hear rumors that Tatum will be making an appearance on stage tonight?
I see Channing Tatum…I can hear the screams of females across the country.
I guess the fashion rules from the Grammys didn’t carry over for tonight? Samantha Barks’ dress looks just a bit revealing.
Amy Adams looks extremely awkward on camera…or is it just me?
I LOVE the mani cam. Possibly my favorite part of this entire production.
Just got a glimpse of Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild)! I’m pretty sure this 9-year-old dresses better than I do.
Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) is the first big nominee to show up tonight. She looks gorgeous in a flesh colored/nude gown, despite her light skin and red hair.
As much as I love “Les Misérables,” it’s still hard for me to take Amanda Seyfried seriously after her role in “Mean Girls.”
Seth MacFarlane’s sister says he’s been working on tonight for five months; do you think he’ll be better than Billy Crystal was last year?
And we have our first interview! Eddie Redmayne (Les Misérables) is looking extremely dapper this evening.
Giuliana Rancic looks gorgeous tonight! Hard to believe she recently had a baby.
Not sure what’s up with Ryan Seacrest’s hair tonight. He looks like he could be in a boy band.
The cast of “Les Misérables” will be performing live for the first time tonight, according to Fandango Chief Corespondent, Dave Karger.
Lots of buzz about Seth MacFarlane being the host tonight; hopefully he can keep things relatively entertaining.
If you’re on Twitter, make sure to tag your tweets with #ERedCarpet.
Hollywood’s biggest night starts….now.
It’s almost time! Who are you most looking forward to seeing on the red carpet? I personally can’t wait to see what Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence show up in.
Only one more hour until E! begins their red carpet coverage! Make sure to join me back here for my input on what all the stars are wearing.

I’ll be honest — that intro was brilliant.
Jack’s got to wear his shades. It’s a trademark!
