As the men’s soccer team’s season started to wind down, the Flyers found themselves playing their best soccer of the season.

Lewis wrapped up their regular season with a four-game winning streak and won six out of their last seven games.

Unfortunately, the Flyers couldn’t keep the momentum going in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament as Rockhurst University ended their season with a 2-0 victory.

“Rockhurst did what they needed to do today, and they got the result [they wanted],” head coach Evan Fiffles said, according to the Lewis Athletics website. “We couldn’t get anything going today, and it’s disappointing that we didn’t play up to out capabilities.”

The Flyers ended their season with a record of 9-9.
