PHOTOS: A Week With Harmonic Uprising
Here is a behind the scenes look at Lewis University’s Harmonic Uprising a cappella group. Every week, Harmonic Uprising has two three-hour rehearsals, and two one-hour director’s meetings. Some weeks they are performing songs in the community. There is a lot that goes into bringing your favorite pop songs from recordings to an all-human voice performance.
From the photos above by Martinez:
1. After discovering their 90′s song choice via YouTube, some of the members get a little carried away.
2. Members practice with the group’s new vocal percussionist, Lathario Thomas.
3. After their first run-though of the fall, the members were satisfied, but felt that there was plenty to improve upon.
4. Members sit, stretch, gossip or dance during their practice’s water breaks.
