Men out there need to know that women have just as hard a time as men when it comes to relationships.
Here are five common things girls need to have for a healthy relationship.

A lot of women choose to wait around for a man, however, while waiting we often forget what exactly we’re waiting for. So it is important to figure out what you want in a significant other and save them the complications.

When a relationship doesn’t have trust it cannot function. Not only that but you don’t have anything to build your relationship off of. Snooping is definitely the wrong thing to do if you suspect something isn’t right. Just talk to them about how you feel and hopefully both of you can express your feelings.

Girls want to feel like they are heard and what they say matters even though they may just be talking about a new purse they got on sale. To them that’s sometimes an achievement and if you just listen she’ll be happy. A girl also wants you to encourage her to do her best and be proud of what she does. If you meet these simple demands she will do her best to be there for you.

Although women have no trouble talking sometimes communicating our needs and feelings can be an issue. We are not as straight forward or blunt as men. Also face to face communication is a must because feelings cannot be conveyed on Facebook or through text message.

Senior public relations major Shannon Kozak says, “Communication is one of the most important things to have. If you don’t have that then you risk not knowing who you are or your partner.”

Sometimes people don’t understand that your significant other should also be one of your very best friends. According to Mental Health Counselor Zachary Hitchens, “You want to enjoy the time that you are with the person and the connection you share. Part of the fun is also having balance between time with each other and friends and family.
